Spalding welcomes new stores to the town centre
Shoppers in Spalding have welcomed two new stores to the town centre.
Robert Goddard and Vodaphone officially opened their new stores in Market Place in recent days.
Staff at Robert Goddard's have been delighted with the response from shoppers since opening the new store on Saturday.
Previously the firm had been based in Vine Street but has spent months renovating the former Revills site, which was also once a bank.
While the majority of the work has been completed, the firm will be opening its suit and formal wear section in the old bank vault at the weekend.
Manager Andy Woodthorpe said: "The opening has been fantastic. We have been very busy busy and this is a much better location being in the centre of town.
"We have had a really good reaction from everyone who has come in."
Vodaphone opened the doors of its new shop, the former Claire's Accessories site, yesterday.
Shoppers were welcomed with cake and a glass of bubbly by Donna Watton and her team.
She said: "We are really pleased with the response to the shop. It has been really busy. It has also been great that other business owners have been in to say hello."
In nearby New Road, Jenna Wilson and Jen Gray have opened up their new salon BeYou.
Hairdressers Jenna and Jen are also joined by a beautician. Jenna said: "It going really well."
