Bourne couple tie the knot at The Woodlands Hotel amid the Spalding Flower Parade crowds

A couple who got marriedon the same day as a Spalding Flower Parade say it went without a hitch.

Thousands of visitors descended on Spalding for the annual flower parade which coincided with Hollie and Bradley O’Cruelly taking their wedding vows at The Woodlands Hotel in Pinchbeck Road.

With help from Mick Deveney, the parade’s event controller, wedding guests were able to easily get to the venue in the middle of the parade route - and had chance to watch the floats go by.

Hollie said: “It was a lovely day and went so quickly.

“The committee could have quite easily turned round and say you've got to deal with it but they were really helpful.

“It went really smoothly.

The Bourne couple delayed the timing of their ceremony so that they could watch the parade and praised the organisers.

Hollie said: “We held on a bit so that everyone could watch it go by.

“Guests said they were really lovely.

Groom Bradley watched the parade with guests before he was wowed by Hollie’s wedding dress.

He said: “A highlight for me was watching her come down the aisle.
