‘Coming soon’ signs appear in closed Spalding shop

Hopes are high that a closed town centre shop could be getting a new lease of life.

‘Coming soon’ signs for Fratelli Cafe have appeared in the former Clintons shop in Hall Place, Spalding.

The site has not been used as a shop for a number of years but the sight of the signs is offering fresh hope that something could finally happen with this property.

It was one of a number of doorways in the town to have been used by rough sleepers last year until it was boarded up.

While there are a number of empty shops still in Spalding town centre, including Coneys - which could become a community hub - but new tenants have been found for a number of others.

The former Beales store is now Furniture Warehouse and The Original Factory Shop.
