Headteacher Diane Mulley said: “I am delighted that Ofsted has recognised all the exceptional work going on at the school.

“I am fortunate enough to experience the special place that Spalding Parish is daily and am always very proud to be part of this unique community.

“I am thrilled that during the inspection this was very clear to inspectors too and they recognised all the brilliant things in place as part of our school provision.”

Since joining the Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust (LAAT) in 2019, Spalding Parish has enjoyed an upward trajectory.

LAAT CEO Jackie Waters-Dewhurst said: “I am so proud of Spalding Parish, the head, teachers, support staff, the pupils, and the wider community.

“It is a shining example of what can be achieved when we work together.”

Ofsted acknowledged this partnership, stating: “The school and trust unite to ensure an exceptional and memorable school experience for each and every pupil.

“Support and oversight from the trust have been instrumental in the school’s success.”

Leadership at the school also received high praise from Ofsted.

Inspectors stated: “Leaders are relentless in their endeavour to develop pupils into responsible citizens of the world.”

The school’s ambitious curriculum was also commended for meeting the needs of pupils effectively, and being underpinned by key drivers, focused on impacting the school, the local community, and the wider world positively.

Ofsted concluded that the school provides an excellent start to education for children.

The report stated: “Children in the early years get off to an exceptional start.

“Pupils leave school at the end of Year 6 as thoughtful and knowledgeable individuals.

“They are extremely well prepared to embrace the challenges of the next stage of their education.”

The only area not deemed outstanding was the ‘quality of education’. To improve, inspectors say the curriculum needs ‘further refinement’ in a small number of subjects to make sure pupils’ knowledge is secure.
