Polka Dot Productions set the South Holland Centre stage in Spalding for fun-filled pantomime Snow White
The stage is set and excitement brewing at a town’s theatre as the fairest pantomime of them all read to thrill audiences.
Polka Dot Productions is bringing 40 performances of Snow White to the South Holland Centre in Spalding - oh yes they are - with the opening show on Saturday (December 7).
The same producers brought Beauty and the Beast in 2023 which was so successful at the box office that an additional performance has been added to this year’s schedule.
Joanne Mackel, centre manager, said: “I am very excited that the South Holland Centre is offering so many performances of Snow White throughout December.
“It’s a perfect Christmas treat for the whole family, and if you haven’t booked your tickets yet, it’s easy to do so online or by calling our friendly box office staff during the centre’s opening times.”
The theatre team is working hard with final rehearsals in full swing, dazzling costumes, stage painting as the crew prepare.
This year’s show promises to be a fun-filled pantomime with plenty of audience participation and hilarity.
The cast includes Lauren Fielding in the title role, AJ Adams as Muddles and Kerry Maskell as the Wicked Queen and Kevin Baines, who this year plays Nanny Nelly
Producer Darren Maddison said: “We are delighted to be returning to the South Holland Centre this Christmas, which is a perfect venue for pantomime.
“Every audience member feels included and part of the action, and the atmosphere at every show is electric.
“Snow White has something for everyone, and our pantomimes can be enjoyed by every generation – and it’s wonderful to see families coming together to watch this wonderful British tradition.”
The production runs until December 30 and a range of additional performances are available.
These include schools and family shows, a relaxed performance and a BSL signed performance to ensure that everyone can enjoy traditional pantomime at its best.
Kevin Baines said: “I love the audiences in Spalding – they are very vocal, join in with everything and know how to have a great time.
“Panto at the South Holland Centre is a real team effort and we love spreading the Christmas cheer.
“I’m really excited this year as the production team have pulled out all the stops to create perfect panto magic.”
Tickets can be booked on the website and at the box office on 01775 764777.
