Last Night of the Proms was a success in Moulton
A rousing night of music helped to raise hundreds of pounds for a good cause.
Moulton Community Association organised a Last Night of the Proms event to raise funds for the village’s community centre and the village hall.
Music was provided by Holbeach Community Brass Band which was enjoyed by 51 people.
A statement from Moulton Community Association said that the village had revived the event, which had not been held for several years, and that the hall had been decorated with flags and bunting.
It added: “The event was organised by the Moulton Community Association CIO, partly to raise funds to keep the community centre and the village hall open and running, but also as part of the ongoing fabulous community vibe we have in Moulton.
“We raised £484.40 which will help with the cost of heating that we are installing in the toilets in the village hall, there’s always something need doing.”
Future events at the hall include a family Christmas bingo on December 6, carols on the village green on December 11.
Events will be advertised on the Moulton Community Association Chit Chat Page and for more information email mcabookings@aol.com
