Magical Winter Wonderland set to transform Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens in Spalding




Families can enjoy a magical experience featuring an elf trial and Santa’s grotto, at this Winter Wonderland event.

Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens in Spalding will undergo a festive transformation for the event on Saturday, December 7, between 12pm and 6pm.

Organised by the Flower Parade team, the historic landmark will turn into an enchanted seasonal wonderland.

Visitors will be able to visit Santa’s grotto, play family games, watch the performance of local choirs singing plus take part in a magical elf trail with hidden treasures and lots more festive fun-filled activities. There is no entry fee to attend this event.

The following Saturday (December 14) families can come and visit Santa’s Grotto at Ayscoughfee Hall.

It will run from 11am to 2pm where children will have the opportunity to visit Santa and receive a free gift. There will also be free Christmas craft activities organised by South Holland District Council’s communities’ team.

Throughout December, Ayscoughfee Hall will host a special advent calendar-style social media campaign.

Each day, followers and viewers will get a sneak peek look at a what lies behind all kind of different doors within the hall, museum and gardens.

This unique campaign aims to share the magic and history of Ayscoughfee Hall, offering a glimpse into areas not usually accessible to the public.

Ayscoughfee Hall Museum will close its doors to the public at 4pm on December 15 and will reopen on Wednesday January 8, 2025.

During this period, visitors are encouraged to explore the beautiful gardens, which will remain open every day except Christmas Day.

The tennis courts will continue to follow their normal opening times throughout the holiday season and will be accessible to book on the usual website.
