Woman’s body found in Spalding property and man arrested on suspicion of murder




A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman’s body was discovered.

Police were called to a property in Winsover Road, Spalding, yesterday (Tuesday, November 26) after concerns were raised about a woman’s safety.

Officers attended shortly after 7.30pm and discovered the woman’s body after forcing their way into the property.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A force spokesman said: “The investigation is in its early stages and we ask people not to speculate on the circumstances of this incident. Our officers will be in the area for the next few days while the investigation continues. We will update with more information when we can. “

It’s not yet clear whether the incident is linked to the air ambulance callout to the town last night.

This is the second incident in a month that has led to an arrest for murder — after 45-year-old old Vadims Zmicerevskis died near the junction of Green Lane and St Thomas’ Road on November 11.

The spokesman added: “We understand this may be an unsettling time for local residents and people who know the victim or live in the area. Please get in touch with the local Neighbourhood Policing Team if you would like to talk to them.

“Anyone who has information that can help with our inquiries should contact the Force Control Room on 101. Please refer to incident 332 of 26 November.”
