Winners of Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG) staff awards 2024 announced




The winners of an NHS staff awards ceremony have been revealed.

Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals Group (LCHG) hosted a glittering night to recognise those who care for the county last Friday (November 15).

With 1,127 nominations to go through, hundreds were celebrated from both the Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (ULTH) for a number of categories.

“Being able to celebrate this amount of people across our Group really shines a light on how the NHS is here to work together for the benefit of our patients and residents,” group chief executive, Karen Dunderdale said.

“Thank you and well done to all those nominated this year and special congratulations to the winners for their achievement.”

And the winners were:

Winner - Restaurant Team, Lincoln County Hospital
Highly Commended – Mr Shaker Alsefi, Consultant, Surgical Emergency Admissions Unit (SEAU), Lincoln County Hospital

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Champion of the Year Award
Winner - Sara Blackbourn, Trust Lead Occupational Therapist, ULTH
Highly Commended - Angelin Peeris, Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and CODE Staff Network Chair

Unsung Hero – Clinical Award
Winner - Luke Smith, Registered Nurse, Butterfly Hospice
Highly Commended - Dr Durga Herath, Consultant Paediatrician

Unsung Hero – Non-Clinical Award
Winner - Andrew Jackson-Parr, Chaplain, Pilgrim Hospital, Boston

Winner - Tina Wright, Respiratory Assistant Practitioner, Venture House, Boston
Highly Commended - Maria Wilson, Cardiac Rehab Specialist Nurse

Award winners and highly commended entries received trophies and certificates in recognition.

But that was not the only thing to celebrate that night as a raffle held on the evening raised £1,479.50 for the United Lincolnshire Hospitals Charity and Lincolnshire NHS Charity.
