Long Sutton Men's Shed members meet up with 3 Dads Walking at Sutton Bridge

The Long Sutton Men’s Shed has shown its support for 3 Dads Walking suicide prevention initiative.

The three dads – Andy Airey from Cumbria, Mike Palmer from South Manchester and Tim Owen from Shouldham, Norfolk – have each lost a daughter to suicide.

They were walking 300 miles from Cumbria to Shouldham in 15 days and raising awareness along the way, while raising funds for the Papyrus Charity campaign for suicide prevention.

The Men’s Shed are also just embarking on an ambitious expansion project supported by SHINE the Lincoln-based Mental Health Network.

Suicide Prevention project co-ordinator Frank Heinrich-Tiller, welfare officer Jim Stalley and oldest member Eric Seekings (95) met up with the three dads at Sutton Bridge on Saturday morning to cheer them on and show support for suicide prevention.
