Commercial Road in Spalding closed for third time
A main town route has been shut for the third time in three months - creating further nightmares for motorists.
Drivers travelling over Twin Bridges in Spalding this morning were confronted with closure signs after Commercial Road has been shut once again - with no notice.
Commercial Road - which is a key route in the town’s one-way system - was shut in September and October by Anglian Water to repair a ruptured sewer.
This morning (Thursday, November 28), an extraction unit can be seen in the road but no closure permit has been lodged onto the One Network System.
This is the latest issue which is creating misery for motorists trying to travel around the Spalding area.
Last night some motorists reported journeys which would normally take 20 minutes lasting over an hour due to the three way lights at the Greencell roundabout and temporary lights in Surfleet Road, Pinchbeck.
