Take a look at some of the indulgent Christmas-inspired drinks at cafes in Spalding, Holbeach, Gosberton and Weston

With the countdown to Christmas well and truly on, why not warm the soul and celebrate with a bit of festive goodness?

When the hat and scarf combo comes out of the wardrobe, the cold wind slaps you round the face and staying indoors becomes a lot more appealing, a Christmas inspired drink could be the perfect solution to uplifting everyone’s spirits in winter. And you don’t need to go to chains such as Starbucks or Costa to take in a sip of something seasonal either — the people behind our most beloved local cafes have also concocted creations that can thrill your taste buds.

What’s available? Well, here is a round-up of some of the festive drinks which will be served by cafes in our area throughout December…

Baytree Garden Centre, High Street, Weston

The garden centre has released a wide selection of Christmassy drinks for customers to purchase in-store. This year’s indulgent treats feature Milkybar white chocolate mocha, Snickers hot chocolate, Bounty hot chocolate, caramel Rolo latte, chai latte, Biscoff latte and gingerbread latte.

All of the drinks listed above cost £4.65.

Penningtons Coffee Shop, Red Lion Street, Spalding

If hot chocolates are your go-to, Penningtons has you all sorted. The coffee shop is offering a selection of flavours to choose from, which vary between £4.50 to £6.50.

These include Terry’s Chocolate Orange, After Eight Mint, Biscoff, Baileys, White Chocolate and Pumpkin Spice.

All of the hot chocolates can be made deluxe for £4.95. Customers can either sit in or take-away.

Vine House Farm Shop and Cafe, Deeping St Nicholas

The cafe is bringing back the gingerbread latte and honeycomb hot chocolate by popular demand.

Both options cost £4.20.

Coffee Lounge 51, High Street, Holbeach

The Holbeach based business will be serving up black forest, chocolate orange and mint flavoured hot chocolates throughout December.

From Wednesday, December 18, the coffee shop will sell Baileys hot chocolates (£4.50) for one week in the lead up to the big day.

If you fancy a little something to accompany your festive drink, Coffee Lounge 51 also offers mince pies, mince pie slices, local sausage rolls, cheese and bacon twists, homemade cakes and paninis.

Victoria House Tearoom, Wargate Way, Gosberton

Some new arrivals have been added to the menu at Victoria House Tearoom in time for the festive season. Alongside the returning customer favourites – the black forest hot chocolate and gingerbread latte – the new After Eight mocha and toffee nut latte will be running throughout December.

The drinks start at £3.

Beccas Ice Cream Parlour, Holland Market, Spalding

After recently launching a new autumn and winter menu, the ice-cream shop now sells a variety of seasonal hot drinks and savoury items.

Some of the festive drinks on offer at the moment include Irish Cream mocha, hot chocolate and latte, toasted marshmallow hot chocolate and mocha, Terry’s Chocolate Orange hot chocolate, mint hot chocolate, gingerbread latte and hot chocolate, pumpkin spiced latte and spiced chai (£3.60).

All other drinks listed above cost £4.80.
