Fancy footwork will be taking place at a netball tournament that will be raising funds for charity.
Spalding Netball Club is entering eight teams into the Boston Netball Charity Tournament at the Peter Paine Performance Centre on Sunday, June 29, from 10am-4pm.
The mixed team sporting event will raise money for Alzheimer’s Society and the Spalding teams are sponsored by Bourne Skip Hire.
Kieran James, 28, a personal trainer from Spalding who is participating, said: “It will be nice to be part of something very inclusive.
“There will be mixed teams of seven with three males and four females.
“Each team pays a fee which gets donated to the charity.”
Kieran, who works at Snap Fitness in Pinchbeck, is pleased to be involved with the tournament and describes netball as ‘an amazing sport.’
He added: “It is great to get recognition for the event.
“The charity aspect is good for getting everyone together.”
“People can create teams and each team must have an umpire.”
It costs £50 entry per team which includes a raffle prize and teams must supply a c-award umpire.
The maximum age of players is 16 and there can be a maximum of three men on court at any time.
