At about 8am, on Sunday, walkers followed a route into Pinchbeck and did around 8,700 steps in one hour and ten minutes, before returning to the meeting point at the cafe for a hearty breakfast.

Organiser Cath Carter said: “The weather was perfect, it was chilly but we had a beautiful morning.

“It set people up for their week and everyone loved the food at the cafe – it was delicious.

“We’re hoping to see the numbers increase for the next one.”

Cath organises a similar group in Holbeach, which has become a popular way for residents to meet new people and get their steps in.

Alongside this, she hosts live workout videos on her Facebook page – which has an online community of 55,000 followers.

The Walkie Talkie group is open for anyone and is set to take place on the last Sunday of each month.
