New Jashir Indian Restaurant set to take over former Lincolnshire Poacher site in Spalding announces opening date
A new restaurant has announced its opening date.
The former Lincolnshire Poacher pub on Spalding’s Double Street is currently being transformed into an Indian restaurant.
Jashir owner and head chef Nilesh Patel explained that he was looking forward to expanding his brand, after running a successful restaurant and wine bar in Oakham.
The new Spalding eaterie will open its doors to the public on June 6.
Although opening night is already fully booked, customers can secure a table by visiting www.jashir.co.uk.
The Poacher has been shut since December, although previous owner Cameron Bean had initially hoped to re-open in the new year.
“Myself as head chef and owner, I keep my eye on everything all day, 24 hours a day,” said Mr Patel.
“Everything passes through me, so I make sure the food has that quality taste.
“It a family-run business and this is my future, so it’s in my interest to make it a good restaurant.
“It will be the same quality of food in both places.”
