Here’s when Spalding’s new Wendy’s restaurant and drive-thru will open

The opening date for a highly-anticipated burger chain restaurant and drive-thru has been announced.

Fast food fans have been licking their lips at the prospect of Wendy’s opening in Spalding ever since a planning request was submitted.

Now it can be revealed that the restaurant at the Lincs Gateway Business Park will be serving up the brand’s iconic square burgers from Thursday, May 22.

Doors will open to the public from 7am with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10am.

To mark the occasion, the first 50 lucky customers through the doors will receive an exclusive Wendy’s T-shirt.

To keep the celebrations going, family-friendly entertainment will take place over the Bank Holiday weekend.

From 11am to 3pm on Saturday-Monday, May 24-26, visitors can enjoy magic performances by Dave the Entertainer and a face painter to brighten smiles of all ages.

The new Wendy’s offers something for everyone, with dine-in, takeaway and drive-thru service available.

Guests can enjoy the brand’s well-loved menu across breakfast, lunch and dinner, including favourites like the Baconator, Dave’s Single, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and the iconic Frosty dessert – now available in both chocolate and vanilla.

The restaurant will open from 7am-10pm Mondays to Saturdays and 8am to 10pm on Sundays.

Wendy’s was founded in 1969 by Dave Thomas in Columbus, Ohio, and built its brand on the promise that ‘quality is our recipe’.
