Organiser 'overwhelmed' by Holbeach Music & Beer Festival success
Holbeach Music & Beer festival organiser Sean Taylor says he is overwhelmed at the support and feedback following this year’s event.
After losing the three-day festival to Covid-19 in 2020, it was back bigger and better than before from Friday to Sunday, with more than 5,000 people passing through the gates on Saturday alone.
Even occasional bursts of heavy rain failed to dampen the wonderful atmosphere, as party-goers from far and wide flocked to King’s Field to enjoy bands, beer, food, a fun fair and a kids’ zone.
Sean told Spalding Today: “I’m obviously overwhelmed at the support and the crowds. The camping was busier than it’s ever been with 600 tents pitched, the new layout went down really well and the free entertainment for children was popular.
“Every night I received so many texts and comments, people saying how good it was and how friendly the atmosphere was.
“The event is growing every year. Saturday was choc-a-bloc and people were arriving all afternoon. It was full on. Now we sit down, reflect and see how we can make it even better in 2022.
“The event is popular all over the UK now and, not only are people seeing top tribute acts such as Flash, The Kopycat Killers, Coldplace, Bon Gioivi, The Upbeat Beatles and Wild Boys, they’re also getting to see new young bands playing their own material.
“It’s just three days of really good fun.”
