Organisers thrilled after more than 2,000 people attended Ayscoughfest in Spalding
More than 2,000 people attended a new music festival over the weekend and organisers say they are already looking forward to the next one.
Families gathered for a fun day of music and entertainment as Aysocoughfest took place in the picturesque grounds of Ayscoughfee Hall and Gardens in Spalding.
The free event included artists, The Reckless, Ryan Moody, The Rock School Bus, The Take Note Choir, The Bare Minimum, Stephen Tanner and his band and Zebra – who had to step in last minute due to a couple of cancellations and drop outs.
The new music festival, which was organised by Mark Le Sage in conjunction with Spalding Town Forum, featured a range of different stalls, vintage fair rides, face painters and traditional games.
Mark said: “What a fantastic day we had at the very first Ayscoughfest. It was an absolutely brilliant day and I’m very proud of how it all went and the team that put it all together.
“This wonderful event could not have happened without such a very special team of people behind it, and I am grateful to every single one of them.
“None of this would have been possible without the bands, artists and musicians who gave up their time to support this brilliant new event for the community and we couldn’t have done it without them, they really made the day special.
Thanks to the community and the people who came out and supported the event, who made it a very special day for everybody – where more than 2,000 people attended.
“Ayscoughfest is a family friendly, fun, alcohol free event and I’m looking forward to July 26 next year.”
