A passionate organiser is cutting his holiday short in order to attend a quirky and retro musical event.

The Jolly Farmer pub, in Moulton Chapel, is hosting a free event which will include ska, reggae and Northern Soul tunes, on Saturday, August 31, from 3pm until late.

Organiser Steve Thorne said: “We have hosted two music events previously which have been very well attended – it’s generally a fantastic day.

“Normally we have three of these events every year and we always have a big turn out, it’s a pretty cool event.

“I am really looking forward to it and its such a great thing for the village, people and anyone who is interested in that kind of music.

“All of the plans are in place and everyone is just looking forward to it now – I am even cutting my holiday short in Cyprus by five days, so I can come home and attend the event myself.”
