PureGym opened its doors today in Westlode Street Spalding welcoming fitness enthusiasts with goody bags and free use of equipment at 24/7 facility
Fitness enthusiasts have been trying out training equipment at a town’s new 24/7 gym, which opened today (Friday).
PureGym opened its 390th facility on Westlode Street in Spalding, where gym buffs could sample the apparatus for free and sign up for membership deals.
Balloons adorned the entrance which matched the new decor inside the venue, which was once Carpetright.
Assistant manager Luke Jackson said: “We opened at midday and the feedback has been pretty positive.
“They have been signing up and using the new equipment.
“It has been steady throughout the day.”
A current offer is for six months of membership at £17.99 and two 17-year-olds, Harry Hicks and Anuvab Karelia, were among those to have taken advantage of good value deals and the use of free equipment on opening day.
Manager Adam Mee looked after interested customers, who gain access with an electronic code so they can come and go at any time of the day or night.
The spacious venue has free standing exercise machines, treadmills, weight lifting and rowing machines amongst others, plus vending machines and a calming atmosphere with air conditioning.
Mr Jackson added: “It is very convenient in the centre of town and has public car parking.
“This is the first gym with this particular wall decor.
“People are shocked how big the space is.”
