Plans for drive-thru coffee shop and restaurant in Wyberton Fen moving forward
Plans to build a drive-thru coffee shop and restaurant in a growing retail area have taken a step further forward.
An application to construct a Costa Coffee unit in Wyberton Fen was given planning permission by Boston Borough Council in November.
The site will be situated near to current McDonald’s and Starbucks drive-thru restaurants, while Aldi have received permission to construct a new supermarket in the area, which is also home to a Tesco, Lidl and B&Q store.
Costa’s plans have now taken a step further forward after BBC granted permission for tweaks to be made to the original designs.

These non-material amendments include changes to external walls, an enlarged main entrance and an amended shop front window design.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the description of the development contained within the decision notice does not change,” a covering letter penned by agent Planning Potential said.
Meanwhile, applicant Carta Real Estate have also submitted more plans to the authority for advertisement consent on the site for 18 items, including various internally illuminated signs to include internally illuminated letters on the building, a height barrier and panel banners.
