Poet Benjamin Zephaniah to return to Holbeach Book Shop
A famous writer will be helping volunteers at a book shop to celebrate their first anniversary.
Benjamin Zephaniah will be returning to the Holbeach Book Shop on Monday, October 28, to complete a book signing as part of the celebrations.
The Park Road shop has become a popular addition to the town centre since being launched last year to raise money for good causes by selling donated books, CDs and DVDs.
Volunteers, who man the shop, are looking forward to welcoming back Benjamin who officially opened the venture last year.
One of the volunteers Beverley Meekings said: "Benjamin said he would come back and help us to celebrate which is brilliant.
"He has been very supportive to us. He has been on a national book tour and will be coming to us to sign copies of his novels, particularly those aimed at teenagers."

The shop is the result of an idea first raised by the Rev Kate Plant during her time at All Saints' Church in Holbeach.
Plans for the new bookshop first emerged in March last year when Mrs Plant saw a need to give people volunteering opportunities in Holbeach, as well as means to promote reading and regenerate the town centre.
The Trustees were supported by South Holland district councillor Nick Worth in finding a suitable location in the town for the shop.
Trustees and volunteers will find out how successful the shop has been in its first year when their annual meeting is held today (Thursday).
While hopes are high to make a donation from this year's profits, the shop has attracted a steady footfall.
Beverley said: "It has built up.
"We have a window display which gets changed every month and that attracts people. This month it is the Great British Bake Off.
"Every month we run special officers, currently it is three hardbacks for £1 and three cds for a pound.
"We have a Facebook page and people are getting to know us."
