Armed police attend incident in New Road, Spalding
Armed police have attended an incident in Spalding town centre this evening (Thursday).
A large police presence was seen on New Road, near the taxi rank, with officers pointing tasers and guns at a man in the view of members of the public.
Officers were heard threatening to use their tasers on the man who was seen sitting on the pavement with his hands above his head.
The incident happened at about 6.15pm with police leaving the scene about 45 minutes later.
It is not yet known if the man has been arrested - and the circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet clear.
We have approached Lincolnshire Police for comment.
