Spalding police investigating dog attack in Church Street





Police are investigating a dog attack close to the town centre.

Officers have received reports that a dog, believed to be a white pit bull or similar breed, attacked another dog in Church Street, Spalding, at around 10.30am on New Year's Day.

The other dog was being walked by its owners when this incident happened on Sunday.

It is believed that this dog has sadly been put to sleep due to its injuries.

A force spokesman said: "Our investigation into the incident is ongoing."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on the 101 number, quoting incident number incident 298 of January 1.
