Police closed Long Sutton road after cannabis farm was discovered




Police were forced to call in electrical engineers to make a property safe after a cannabis farm was discovered.

Swapcoat Lane in Long Sutton was closed for some time yesterday (Tuesday, May 21) after officers had raided the property at 9.50am.

National Grid were called in after the electricity was bypassed.

A force statement said: “Officers attended a property on Swaptcoat Lane, Long Sutton, Spalding just before 9.50am on yesterday (Tuesday) where they found signs of a cannabis grow at the location.

“The electricity had been bypassed and National Grid were called to make the property safe.

“A drugs expert witness attended as well as crime scene investigators were called. Plants of varying maturity were seized, the number of which is still to be confirmed.”
