Gosberton and District History Society to put on pop up museum





More than 4,500 years of a village’s history will be shared during a special event in the coming weeks.

Gosberton and District History Society have organised a heritage day to celebrate the village on Saturday, September 16.

A ‘pop up history museum’ will be set-up in Gosberton Public Hall from 10am to 4pm when residents will be able to learn more about the area’s rich history.

A history timeline, a display of old photographs and an art exhibition along with a virtual guided tour of the Five Bells Crossroads and High Street will be shown.

Visitors will also be able to learn about the village’s sporting history which included horse racing from 1844 and football along with delving into the society’s archive.

Admission is £1, plus tea and refreshments will be served throughout the day.
