A-levels 2025: Spalding Grammar School celebrates a fantastic year
Fantastic A-level results have earned a teenager a place at Oxford University.
Spalding Grammar School pupils and staff have celebrated another excellent batch of A-level results at the Priory Road site.
More than 350 qualifications were taken by pupils this summer and more than half of the grades in many subjects were at A*-C.
Executive headteacher Michele Anderson has congratulated pupils on their hard work.
She said in a statement: “We are so proud of our Year 13 students who have worked tremendously hard on their sixth form studies over the last two years and achieved some tremendous results that are not only a measure of academic performance but also a reflection of the hard work, resilience, and positive mindset our students have shown.
“Each one of them should be immensely proud of what they’ve accomplished.”
“Many subjects achieved more than half of their grades at A*-B, the highest grades possible. These include biology (79%), business studies (83%), chemistry (78%), economics (74%), engineering (100%), further mathematics (94%), geography (80%), history (91%), PE (75%), sociology (72%) and technology (100%).
“More than 350 qualifications were taken by the sixth form this summer and their results are testament to their commitment and hard work alongside the support of their parents and carers and the dedication of our experienced staff.
“Spalding Grammar and Spalding High co-teach several A Level subjects, and they too were incredibly successful this year, with 100% of students achieving A*-C grades in French and music and 75% of students achieving the same in English literature.”
Ben Futter is leaving the grammar school to study Theology at Oxford University.
Piotr Malitka achieved A-levels at A*/A who is planning to study medicine.
Ashton Whyles is planning to study maths after achieving three A-levels at A*/A.
Nicol Wnukowska has three A-levels at A*/A and will soon embark on dentistry studies.
Sam Ishaq has three A-levels at A*/A and is planning to study medicine.
AyU Millward secured four A Levels at A*/A and wants to study aerospace engineering.
Sebastian Zuk has four A-levels at A*/A and is planning to study dentistry.
Emmanuel Boateng secured three A-levels at A*/B and is looking to study economics.
Samuel Grundy has three A Levels at A*/B who is planning to study mechanical engineering.
Harry Hicks is planning to study aeronautical engineering after earning three A Levels at A*/B.
Joshua Lijesh has three A-levels at A and will also study dentistry.
A further forty-eight students, 42% of the cohort achieved all A* - C grades in three or four A Level subjects.
Mrs Anderson said: “Our students are all progressing on to a number of new opportunities including work, gap years and degree apprenticeships in engineering, accountancy and finance, gap years and for the majority, university.
“Happily, the very great majority have secured places at their first preference university to study a variety of disciplines such as: primary education, architecture, law, engineering, computer science, urban planning, medicine biomedical science, sports science and MFL & International Relations in Paris!
“We wish all our students the very best of luck and every success in the future. We would like to thank them for helping to make the Grammar School the special place that it is.”
