While not competing, there was a chance for all pupils to measure their top speed running using a speed radar, test their endurance with speed bounce and then, in keeping with the World Cup measure the speed of their penalty shots.

School Games organiser Rupert Gibson, from Agilitas Sports, thanked Russ Prosser and Tony Harker from Nene Valley Harriers for helping and Lee Farrell from Spalding High for his work preparing the leaders.

Winners were Market Deeping, with Fleet Wood Lane second, St Norbert’s third, St John’s fourth, Monkshouse fifth and Whaplode sixth.
