Rebecca Vaughan brings her take on A Room of One’s Own by Virginia Woolf to Spalding’s South Holland Centre

A one-woman show that takes a wry and amusing trip through the history of literature, feminism and gender is coming to Spalding.

Rebecca Vaughan will be bringing A Room of One’s Own by Virginia Woolf to the South Holland Centre on Thursday (September 14) at 7.30pm.

From the award-winning creators of Austen’s Women, I, Elizabeth, Female Gothic, and Christmas Gothic, Dyad Productions return with a twenty-first century take on Virginia Woolf’s celebrated ‘pre-TED talk’.

Introducing a different way to look at creativity, it even comments on what life in the 2020s might be like.

The production recreates Woolf’s 1928 exploration of the impact of poverty and sexual inequality on intellectual freedom and creativity.

Dyad Productions creates, produces and tours classic theatre with an innovative and contemporary emphasis.

A regular fixture at the Edinburgh Fringe, its work has been a critical, five-star, sell-out success since 2009.
