South Holland Centre in Spalding offers £5 cinema tickets for under 16s
Youngsters will be able to take advantage of reduced price cinema tickets in a bid to encourage more families to visit the town centre.
The South Holland Centre, in Spalding’s Market Place, will be offering £5 tickets for general release screenings to under 16s from Tuesday, April 1.
Youngsters will be able to watch Capt America: Brave New World, Mickey 17, Flow, The Sloth Lane and The Jungle Book - which are showing at the theatre in April - thanks to the South Holland District Council offer.
Coun Henry Bingham, portfolio holder for assets and strategic planning, said: “I am delighted that we are able to offer this discount to families in the local area.
“It is important to the council and the South Holland Centre that Spalding town centre is an attractive place for residents to visit, and reduced prices for film tickets for under-16’s is a great step in this direction.
“I encourage anyone who can take advantage of the upcoming discounts to do so, for hours of entertainment that supports to local community.”
The reduced price offers applies to general release screenings only, and not to special screenings, such as National Theatre Live productions.
Only films certified as suitable for those 15 or under will have the option to purchase the new under-16 tickets.
While proof of age is not required to use under-16 tickets, centre staff reserve the right to ask for proof if the ticket holder appears to be over the age of 16.
