Road blocked after ambulance and car transporter collide on A16 at Crowland

A crash between an ambulance and car transporter led to disruption on a busy main road.

Emergency services were called today (Wednesday, March 12) just after 11am to a crash on the A16 at Crowland.

The incident took place near the Hull’s Drove and James Road junction – which has been a cause of concern for some residents who wished to see a roundabout installed there when the road was built.

The road was partly blocked and police officers attended to assist in ‘safe traffic management’.

No injuries were reported and both vehicles were recovered shortly before 1pm.

It’s not yet known if the ambulance was on a blue light emergency call at the time.
