Act II Theatre Company promises a ‘head banging feast’ with School of Rock performance

A group of talented youngsters are gearing up to perform their version of a popular film – and promise to get your toes tapping and head banging.

The cast at Act II Theatre Company will be bringing the fun, cheeky and loud show to the South Holland Centre in Spalding, this week.

Based on the film starring actor Jack Black, School of Rock follows the lives of prim and proper children of Horace Green prep school, as their day is turned upside down by wannabe rocker Dewy Finn who poses as a substitute teacher.

Having been kicked out of his band and needing to find some money for rent, Dewy believes this will be an easy route to a quick buck – but to his surprise, finds a group of talented young musicians.

The Act II cast, which is made up of sixty people, will re-create the ‘rocking riot’ version of the film tomorrow (Thursday, March 27) Friday (March 28) and Saturday (March 29) at 7.30pm – with an additional relaxed performance at 2.30pm on Saturday.

Audience members can expect two live bands and a show for the whole family, as well as fans of live music and anyone who wants to rock.

Tickets for the show cost £12, £10 for concessions and £9 per person for groups of ten or more. These can be booked in advance through the South Holland Centre website or by calling the box office on 01775 764777.
