Safeguarding alert at University Academy Holbeach after student 'physically confronted'

A secondary school has issued a safeguarding alert to parents after a student was physically assaulted.

The incident took place at the University Academy Holbeach.

A text alert sent to parents reads: "One of our pupils was physically confronted by a 14-year-old on the road by the underpass parallel to the A17.

"He is described as having dark hair and being quite tall. He is not known to the school. The incident is being dealt with by the police.

"Please ask your child/children to be vigilant in this area and if necessary arrange an alternative route home.

"If you become aware of any further concerns about this, please contact the police on 101 or the school."
