Scammers targeting Spalding residents

Spalding residents are being warned against scammers operating in the town.

South Holland District Council has received reports of two men claiming they work for the organisation.

The men have been calling unannounced at properties in the Spalding area.

A council spokesman said: "The matter has been passed to the police as they are operating a scam. If you ever get approached by people calling at your door, please always ask for ID."
