We are once again continuing our review of 2019 by looking back at some of the stories which featured in the Lincolnshire Free Press.
In April, kind-hearted window cleaner Kelvin Crane had been giving up his time to clean up the district’s road signs.
Students and staff at the University Academy Holbeach (UAH) were over the moon after receiving a positive report from Ofsted inspectors. The two-day inspection resulted in the school being judged as good in all areas.
Young footballers from Spalding were devastated after vandals had wrecked their pitch and equipment. Spalding United Youth Football Club arrived for their game in West Pinchbeck to find that the pitch had been vandalised and a storage container had been broken into.
Sutton St James Parish Council fought for the historic medieval stone on Old Fendike to be reinstated after being uprooted during roadside grass cutting. Councillors were calling on Lincolnshire County Council to make the repairs.
