Council tax scam

South Holland District Council has issued a warning about a council tax scam.

Apparently, fraudsters are calling or emailing homes, quoting the home owners' name, address and council tax band before asking them to provide bank account or credit card details.

This is a scam and callers should be hung up on and emails deleted.
