Effort and progress rewarded
Spalding Academy held its annual Outstanding Achievement Evenings to celebrate the many successes of its students.
Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 award winners all attended evenings with presentations of trophies and certificates.
Each evening was accompanied by entertainment from the Spalding Academy Dance Troupe, as well as dance performances by Year 8 students Lucy Howitt and Libby Mayne, a solo dance by Year 9 student Aaliyah Thorpe and a musical piano piece by Year 10 student Beth Love.
All evenings celebrated students that have made outstanding progress in subjects or shown outstanding effort in a subject throughout the academic year.
Every subject at Spalding Academy nominated two students from every year group that met the outstanding progress and outstanding effort criteria.
Students were also nominated for Student Manager Awards, Head of Year Awards, Improved Attendance Awards and in Year 10 Ilona Chlipala was awarded the Callum Pite Smile Charity Award for her continued successes.
Pastoral manager Ian Billinghurst said: “Spalding Academy are extremely proud of all our students and the fantastic successes that they achieve daily.
“But these evenings are an imperative way of rewarding students that are working above and beyond consistently throughout this academic year. We congratulate all the award winners.”
