Bees removed from Holbeach street by Openreach
A swarm of bees have been removed from a town street.
Residents in Battlefield Lane, Holbeach, had reported issues with the insects in an manhole and went onto block the path.
A report on the Fix My Street website stated that there had been issue with bees in the area last year.
But added: “Huge abandoned hive was removed around March 2025 but now there's another bee hive there. Some local residents are allergic or sensitive to bee stings.”
Now the issue has been resolved by Openreach.
An Openreach spokesperson said: “A beekeeper has attended the site and safely removed the bees.”
