Every little helps youth club

Holbeach Youth Club is excited about planning the future year of activities, all thanks to the Tesco Bags of Help scheme, in which they were lucky enough to come first and be awarded the top financial prize.

Coun Tracey Carter applied for the money so more activities could be held at the hub for the town's youngsters.

She said: “Both of the clubs we hold at the hub are run by valued volunteers and helpers, and this money will enable additional help and support for them while also increasing the spectrum on offer for the young people.

“The Tesco Bags of Help scheme is a wonderful initiative and we thank every one who voted in it for us. This money will make such a difference to the club for the next year."

At the moment, youngsters are being asked what other sessions, sports and activities they would like, before trustees and helpers put a plan together. Additional treats such as a Christmas party, and maybe a small Halloween party, may be added.

If anyone has any other ideas they would like considered, email tcarter@sholland.gov.uk or call 07719189528. Same contact details for anyone who wishes to volunteer as a club helper.
