Spalding town centre road floods

Motorists are being warned to be careful after a town centre road became flooded.

King’s Road in Spalding - alongside the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field and linking Pinchbeck Road with the Holland Market shopping area, including Sainsbury’s - has become a treacherous stretch of road.

Several inches of water have built up following the heavy rain of the last 24 hours.

Vehicles are currently able to pass but are driving at sensibly slow speeds.

However, those on foot are advised to take an alternative route as paths on both sides of the road are under water.
