A police statement says: “We are on scene at a collision at High Bridge in Spalding where a vehicle has collided with a building and gone through the wall.

“Officers are still assessing the incident and crews from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service are also on scene.

“The collision is believed to have involved another vehicle, and was reported at 9.51am today (30 November). This was incident 115 of today. We will issue further updates when we have them.”

The historic White Horse pub has been closed for years and concerns have been raised that it is becoming an eyesore.

South Holland District Council leader Nick Worth has been calling on the brewery, Samuel Smith, to take care of the building.

We have approached Samuel Smiths for comment and were told that the site will be assessed.

The spokesman said: “It is a listed building and we are responsible for keeping it in good repair.”
