A family-run home furnishings and gift shop has received an award for ten years of trusted customer service.

Charmed Interiors in Bridge Street, Spalding has been awarded the Feefo platinum accolade for the second year running which provides customer feedback online.

The department store, which specialises in bedding, curtains and furnishings, originally opened in the Sheep Market in 2014 before moving to its current site in 2018.

Manager Darren Sutton said: “We offer excellent customer service and have knowledgeable and helpful staff.

“On Thursday (Sept 5) we are going to have some special offers and an end of season clearance.

“We have had so much winter stock in that we need to clear out items such as end of line bedding sets and cushions will be on offer.”

Mr Sutton’s brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Samantha Sutton, own this business along with Bookmark in The Crescent. They also have two businesses in Downham Market called Salon@ and Platform 1 café which have been trading since 2009.

Mr Sutton said: “I run the day-to-day activities and I oversee the daily running of the venues.

“I have worked in retail so I have a lot of experience.”

“We also offer good value for money price-wise and we stock most of the big brands.

“We are already buying for spring and offer unusual ranges.”

These are reasons Mr Sutton attributes to the success of the store both online and on the high street where other stores have had to close down seeing a demise in high street shopping.

He said: “We are successful in Spalding as there isn't the competition anymore - which is a shame.

“During the pandemic we traded really well online.

“It is also really important to have that presence.”
