University Academy Long Sutton confirms positive cases of coronavirus

The head of University Academy Long Sutton (UALS) has confirmed that "several members of our school community" have tested positive for coronavirus.

In a letter to parents yesterday (Tuesday), UALS principal Liam Davé said the school was "continuing to monitor the situation", while taking advice from health authorities.

Mr Davé also confirmed that the school would stay open to students and staff not affected by COVID-19, but some students in Years 7-10 have been advised to stay at home for 14 days after coming into "close contact" with those who have tested positive.
