Temporary lights in Spalding have created chaos for second morning
Temporary traffic lights have caused chaos for second morning running.
Lincolnshire County Council has covered the four sets of traffic around Spalding’s High Bridge and replaced them with temporary lights in High Street, Bridge Street, Churchgate and Church Street - creating long queues of traffic around the town.
The county council has also removed one lane of traffic on High Street which has also not helped matters with many motorists enduring a slow crawl along the road.
No work appears to have been conducted while the temporary lights were in place.
The lights were due to be removed late last night (Monday, June 2) but are still there for this morning’s rush hour.
We did approach Highways for a comment yesterday but did not receive a response.
