Gosberton Academy’s Christmas Fair was a big success




A treadmill was raffled off during a festive fair which raised more than £2,000 for a primary school.

The team at Gosberton Academy were over the moon with the success of its Christmas Fair, which attracted a total 370 people.

Organised by the Parent, Teacher and Friends Association, the event had more than 20 stalls selling a variety of goods along with a barbecue and games.

Youngsters were also able to speak to Father Christmas along with picking up some other treats.

And there was also a popular raffle which included a treadmill as a prize.

Headteacher Tom Baxter was pleased the turn out which also included members of the wider community.

He said: “We are over the moon as this was the most we have raised. The turn-out was huge.

“It was a really good event with lots of fun and the children had fun.”
