Break-ins at Spalding businesses - police arrest two men, aged 28 and 50
Two men from the Spalding area, aged 28 and 50 respectively, have been arrested by police in connection with separate burglaries in the town over the past ten days.
One of the burglaries happened at the Car Fix motor garage, near the junction of Albion Street and Westlode Street, where car keys were stolen from in the early hours of Thursday, December 3.
Earlier in the same week, a small safe and other items were taken from Curtis Bakery, in Market Place, where the front door was forced open on Monday, November 30, and Tuesday, December 1, when the front door was forced open.
A 28-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of committing both burglaries, as well as for possessing Class A and Class B drugs.
The 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of committing the burglary at Car Fix and also for possessing Class A and Class B drugs.
Both men have been released on bail pending further investigations.
