Whaplode Drove fun day

The Elizabethan Centre Social Club in Whaplode Drove hosted a Community Fun Day on August Bank Holiday Monday.

Villagers as well as visitors from further afield enjoyed a host of features including a free barbecue, bouncy castle, quizzes, raffles and competitions with cash prizes.

The Rock School Bus visited, the badminton and bowls teams were also on hand to demonstrate facilities and membership opportunities and were pleased to report that they had added to their ranks with a good number of new members.

Vice chair of the club David Barfoot said:“It was absolutely marvellous to see the many people that attended and the positive feedback we received. We are working hard to ensure that the club has special events running every month so the community always has something to look forward to.”
