Pinchbeck Carnival set to draw crowds at weekend
The countdown for a popular village festival has begun — with an action-packed weekend of entertainment ahead.
Pinchbeck Carnival will take place on Saturday, June 8, on Rotten Row Playing Field with gates opening from noon.
Visitors can enjoy the various stalls, raffle, games plus food and drinks available. The official opening will be undertaken by the carnival royalty and the parade of vintage cars and tractors, is set to run from 1pm.
There will be live entertainment from Zebra, Adam Patman and RSB Band alongside competitions for all ages to get stuck into.
The carnival craft tent will host a children and adult section which will offer a range of classes including cross stitch and embroidery, making a chocolate sponge cake, painting in any medium and more.
It is only one entry per class and entries on the day cost 50p per item. All items need to be taken to the tent between 9am and 10.30am and the craft tent will be closed for judging between 11am and 12.30pm. Visit the Pinchbeck Carnival Facebook page for the full list of classes available.
If you’re feeling peckish, Pinchbeck Carnival Association have got you covered with its Sunday lunch set to be served in the village hall on Sunday, June 9 from 1pm.
Tickets for the lunch cost £8.50, for more information call Chris on 01775 680444 or email, crshofield@hotmail.co.uk.
