South Holland residents urged to attend Holbeach St Marks Village Hall to have their say on solar farm plans

Villagers are being urged to attend a public consultation on plans for a new solar farm – after a petition has been launched.

A 48MW solar farm could be built on land in Holbeach Bank if developer AUK PE12 gets the greenlight from South Holland District Council.

Developers will be outlining the plans during a public consultation in Holbeach St Marks Village Hall, in Main Street, on Thursday from 2pm to 7pm.

Ward member Coun Nick Worth said: “This is the time to go and get the information to find out what the details of the project are.”

Coun Worth, deputy leader of the district council, also added: “We had a very useful meeting of the village last week. Seventy people attended turned up and signed a petition and we helped them to get an overview of what the application was about.”
