A-levels 2024: University Academy Holbeach ‘proud’ of performance among pupils’ results following summer exams
A school principal has praised the ‘excellent achievements’ of the pupils who are receiving their exam results this morning.
Staff at The University Academy Holbeach have praised youngsters for their hard work in A-levels, technical and vocational qualifications along with the new T-levels.
The school is also celebrating a 100% pass rate in BTEC qualifications with many learners achieving distinctions.
The site was among 88 schools and colleges nationally which was selected to provide T-level courses, which are an alternative qualification to A-levels and unveiled the £2.3million classroom block in March.
Principal Sheila Page is thrilled with the latest batch of results.
She said: “We should like to congratulate all our learners on their excellent achievements in this summer’s examinations.
“We are very proud of their efforts and achievements and for the hard work that they have sustained during their studies and work placements.
“There have been some excellent performances amongst individual pupils with A* and A grades achieved across several subject areas.”
Some youngsters will be realising their ambitions of going onto university while the academy’s first cohort of T-level pupils have combined their learning with industry placements in health and science, digital, business management and science.
Ms Paige added: “They have paved the way for this new qualification and have been ambassadors for the school.
“We look forward to welcoming our new cohorts to the qualification which now includes childcare, construction and the built environment, electrical and pipework.
“We wish all our learners well for the many exciting opportunities and experiences that lie ahead as they embark on new pathways in employment, higher apprenticeships and university.”
